Brits at a glance
With a strong sense of community, Brits is an ideal place if you're looking for a relaxed and friendly lifestyle. This makes it a popular place for tourists and residents alike.
With its serene surroundings and comparatively affordable cost of living, Brits is a good option if you're looking for value for money. There's a range of real estate available from entry-level apartments, spacious houses, and scenic vacant land, to sprawling farms.

The area was given a boost when Hartbeespoort Dam opened in 1923, supplying farmlands around Brits with water. Brits has also developed as part of South Africa's platinum belt. Together with Rustenburg, it produces more platinum than any other single area in the world.
