Marie Neethling

Hello, my name is Marié van der Walt. I grew up on a farm close to the small town of Swellendam, in the Overberg district.


After school I studied economics at the University of Stellenbosch and worked in the financial industry for a couple of years before going overseas for a few years. In 2003 I came back to South Africa and got involved in charity work at two of the biggest local provincial hospitals in the Western Cape. I continued working there for 13 years until we moved to Stellenbosch in 2016. When my youngest child finished school, I decided to grow my expertise and learn new skills. That is when I decided to join Seeff. It was a natural decision as I have always found property trends fascinating and as I had such positive experiences the few times, I had dealt with Seeff in the past.


Animals, especially horses, are a big part of my life. I enjoy outdoor activities in my free time like gardening, deep sea fishing, mountain biking, hiking and abseiling. My mission is to stay true to myself and my values. It makes me happy to achieve my goals and to be able to help others. My family is important to me and spending time with my loved ones motivates and encourages me to be the best person I can be.
