Patrick joined Seeff in the middle of 2011. He has been very successful in the property industry due to his extensive sales background and academic qualifications.
After matriculating at De La Salle College in Victory Park in 1977, Patrick later continued his studies and graduated with a B. Com (UNISA) in 1998 and followed up with an MBA (Henley Business School) in 2002. His other qualifications include Diplomas and Certificates related to Marketing, Management, Investment, the Stock Market, Pharmaceuticals, Bookkeeping, Chess, Education, and Real Estate.
Work experience includes successful periods in the pharmaceutical, financial, abrasives, tungsten carbide cutting tools, media, and real estate fields. Patrick also ran his own successful consulting business for a number of years before joining
Seeff. His activities here included:
* Advising a number of companies on how to improve the marketing of their products
* Lecturing English to adults at the Wits Language School
* Coaching chess both to individuals and at a number of top private schools
* Teaching the internationally recognised MiniChess programme to the Foundation Phase at a private girls’ school
* Composing chess puzzles for Business Day and Sunday Times for over 30 years.
Patrick came second in the South African Scholar’s Chess Championships in 1976 and 1977, and has won many open chess tournaments throughout South Africa. He won the Bronze Medal at the 2011 Commonwealth Chess Championships. He has represented Gauteng (junior) and Gauteng North (senior) at provincial level, and has played premier league chess for many years. He played first team rugby in 1976 and 1977 at De La Salle. and then spent the following two years completing his national service with the South African Defence Force.
As with all his other activities, he takes his current profession and career at Seeff very seriously and has completed with distinction all the available property courses (over 150) provided by the Seeff Training Academy.
