Kenton On Sea, a charming seaside town in the Eastern Cape's Sunshine Coast region, is nestled between the Bushman's River and the Kariega River, making for a stunning location. A brief history of the area
There are two possible explanations for how Kenton On Sea got its name. According to one account, Captain Henry Somerset named the coastal town after the village of Kenton in England. Alternatively, some sources suggest that a man named Mr Tilt, who was born in 1867 and had previously lived in Kenton, England, purchased land in the area and named the resort after his former home.
