The Port has a rich history - From selling chokka to fishermen for bait to the exporting of South African Squid to European food markets, which became an incredibly profitable industry. The Port St Francis Harbour was completed in 1997, accommodating bigger and better boats could be used which has established the Chocca industry as an important contributor to the community.
