Caféen

Caféen is a bit of a Harfield Village institution. The quirky corner café is a great place to have breakfast or lunch while looking at the magnificent mountain range, from devil's Peak right across to Elephant's Eye Cave. The interior is decorated with vintage curios, signs and sweets, and the furniture is slightly mismatched, adding to its charm.

They serve a delicious range of cooked breakfasts, confectionaries and lunches. The food is tasty and the waitrons are friendly. Not only do they offer the standard flavours, but they also have a gourmet range that includes Bar One, peanut butter, Turkish delight, lemon meringue and salted caramel.

The milkshakes are made from real ingredients - the banana milkshake is a delicious blend of real banana and ice cream. Their coffee selection is also good, so it’s definitely a bucket-list spot for anyone who hasn’t been. Oh, and did we mention that they have three resident cats?

Caféen is open from 8am to 4:30pm every weekday; 8am to 3pm on Saturdays and public holidays; and from 9am to 2pm on Sundays. Find them at 41 3rd Avenue in Harfield Village.
