Discover delicious food at The Waffle House

The Waffle House is situated in Ramsgate, KwaZulu-Natal near the tranquil sub-tropical edge of the Ramsgate Lagoon. It was established in 1957 by owners John and Doreen Gaze. It was initially called the Tea House of the Blue Lagoon before being renamed The Waffle House in 1991. The reason for the change in name was to keep it in line with the owner's eldest son's opening of two waffle house restaurants in the UK at the time. The first was in Norwich, Norfolk which opened in 1978, while the second was in St. Albans, Hertfordshire.

Today, the 220-seater restaurant is a famous South Coast landmark that is popular amongst locals and visitors alike. The Waffle House is one of the busiest restaurants on the South Coast, offering delicious food and great service.
