Josephine Mill, built in 1840, is a restored and remarkable piece of Cape History.
The Mill was restored and made fully operational in 1988 and once again supplied the surrounding community with freshly milled, stone ground flour.
The Mill Museum offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the fascinating stone milling process and view various original artefacts.
There is a shop where visitors can buy flour in reusable hemp sacks, freshly baked breads, homemade jams and condiments.
Situated on the grounds is The Toad & Josephine, a pub with a laidback atmosphere and the best pizza around. Also available on the menu are delicious pork ribs, springbok & guinness pie and eisbein with crispy crackling. There are televisions for sports fans and a cosy fireplace for those cold winter nights.
