This quiet little hamlet is home to an award winning library and fantastic shopping centres.
Home to the Meadowridge AFC founded in 1965, Meadowridge boasts superb football facilities. The club currently hosts both a junior and senior league ranging from under 7’s up to over 45’s.
The Meadowridge library, established in 1960, is ranked 14 out of 101 in the Cape Town Library System and has over 8,000 members.
A local movement has arisen around the critically endangered Cape Flats Sand Fynbos vegetation. The 8 hectare reserve, called the Meadowridge Common is home to over a hundred plant species. The Common, which is under the care of the City of Cape Town, offers fynbos enthusiasts a chance to see the endangered Cape Rain Frog as well as four endangered plant species.
