Rejuvenate your home with LieslCreates

A curator of art and a creator of artful living spaces, Liesl Rheeder, owner of LieslCreates, is a fundi in marketing, music, art and decor. These days she combines all her passions in a successful career as stylist, art promoter and influencer - and she can spruce up your home in a creative second.

Although Liesl likes to push boundaries, the end result is always the perfect composition of colour, texture and balance - true to her musical background  (music and voice teacher) - and to herself. She loves to infuse a home with her creative flair and knowledge of art, colour and decor, making rooms come alive again.

Sometimes, all you need is an expert eye, someone to pull a look together and ensure that your art is displayed correctly and that your styling dimensions and decor accents are on point.

"You don't need to break the bank to redecorate. Invite me over. I will take a look around and suggest a few doable ideas that could be as easy as moving furniture around, regrouping your unique knick-knacks or displaying your art in a more creative, professional way. "

Companies also make use of her services to help create a more polished, welcoming look. Owners of businesses and homes can approach her with a budget plan and a wishlist, which she will work with.

"My big focus point is always art, however. Bringing art into the home or business place and making that a focal and discussion point. Remember, art can be affordable."

Her passion is art styling and working with artists presenting their work in beautiful settings that marries art and the home and corporate environment like never before.

Artists she has worked with include Hennie Niemann, Anton Smit, Therese Rink, Tay Dall, Obert Jongwe, Ally Hall, Sonja Nel, Jak de Priester, Leon Muller, Jaco Sieberhagen, Jean Doyle, Hennie Niemann JNR, Johan Vlok Louw.

Not only does she have a love for artists and art, but she also has an eye for it.

"Often I would walk into a place and think that the art is so beautiful but in completely the wrong place. It's like some people who are just naturally good cooks - I'm not one of them, but I do have an innate understanding of art and its context within a specific environment."

Liesl feels it is essential to own at least one painting.

"A painting is alive. It is definitely not the same as a print. A print is flat and one-dimensional. A work of art has texture -  you can touch it - the movement, the colours, the soul of the artist speaks to you through it. If you put up a painting in a room, you bring a little bit of that artist into your life."

Or a little bit of Liesl. Since that's what she is - a style infusion.
