Rondebosch Markets
Rondebosch Park Market
The Rondebosch Park Market established over a decade ago, works in cooperation with the Animal Rescue Organisation. This organization works tirelessly to relieve the suffering of township animals in Cape Town through education, medical support and rescue.
The Market, held the second Saturday of the month, except in winter, allows market goers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere under the shade trees of Rondebosch Park. While not a big as the Kirstenbosch Market, many of the same vendors enjoy frequenting this smaller more intimate venue. With an eating area set up under the trees, the crowd can enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake while being entertained by the live music on offer. This pet friendly market allows you to have some fun, bring the pets and kids all while contributing to a wonderful cause.
While special market dates are held in the holiday season, such as the gift fair and the twilight market, the overall Saturday vibe is what keeps locals coming back again and again.
Local vendors will indulge you with handmade bath salts, delicious fudges and beautifully crafted leather goods to name a few. While on your visit be sure to check out the Animal Rescue Organization stall for a wide variety of special items including scrapbook materials and toys.

Through this market and many others, the organisation hopes to inspire young artists and continue to improve work conditions and quality throughout Southern Africa.
