Sacha on Chapman's Peak launched

A new landmark development, Sacha on Chapman’s Peak has launched in Hout Bay. It is situated at the foothill of Chapman’s Peak, cradled in the Baviaanskloof Mountain gorge along Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the worlds’ most scenic roads.

Stephan Cross, Sales Manager for Seeff Hout Bay says that the development has been ten years in the making and brings something entirely new to area. The exceptional design and unprecedented views - from every apartment, places SACHA arguably as one of the top coastal sectional title developments launched in South Africa in 2019. The development lies along the gateway to Chapman’s Peak Drive and is of great significance to the area, and will help lift the profile and desirability of property further, he says.

Interestingly, the developer had in the first part of developing the land (Red Sails development) preserved some 7000sqm of Cape olive and Milkwood forest, as well as what is believed to be a 400-year old Milkwood tree. The developer remains conscientious of the natural, as well as the social environment, and is looking to ensure that local labour, craftsmen and artisans contribute to the project.

The development offers just 16 apartments with a choice of one to three bedrooms and an impressive penthouse suite, all with balconies and sweeping 180-degree views, from Kommetjie Lighthouse to Little Lionshead Mountain.

The finishes are top class and include aspects such as hardwood engineered timber floors in the bedrooms and terraces, bespoke designed kitchens, a Smeg gas hob and electric oven (or similar), integrated fridge-freezer and dishwasher, bespoke integrated built-in bedroom cupboards, CCTV coverage in most areas, scanner access control system and GSM based intercom system for visitors.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and each units has two parking bays and fibre, DSTV, and temperature control systems to provide the utmost comfort. Further amenities include a concierge desk, bicycle store, outdoor shower, and a garden store for those who want to grow their own flowers and herbs along the mountainside on the east.

Parking is in the aboveground parking garage. There is also a pool deck on the podium level and viewing deck with barbecue facilities, el fresco dining, a shaded lounging area and cloakrooms which is protected from the elements.

Prices range from R3.5 million.

Sacha on Chapman’s Peak is located across from the beach, coffee shops, eateries, the Chapmans Peak Hotel, hiking trails, a gym, MyCiti Bus stop and general amenities, thus giving rise to a walkable lifestyle so common in Europe.

Cross says that part of the attraction of Hout Bay, is its close proximity to the Atlantic Seaboard and CBD, Southern Suburbs and False Bay. In addition to residential buyers, the area is also attractive for second home buyers.

While the popular harbour with its fishing trawlers is an iconic attraction, Hout Bay offers many additional amenities for residents and visitors, ranging from retail and shopping to restaurants and coffee shops.

Over the last few years, Hout Bay has enjoyed a notable uptick in awareness of the fabulous lifestyle and with that the demand for property in the neighbourhood. Property values have continue to rise and now offer excellent investment prospects.
