Skotnes Restaurant

The Skotnes Restaurant is situated in the Norval Foundation and is named after South African artist, Cecil Skotnes.

The Skotnes Restaurant overlooks the foundation's beautiful wetland and sculpture garden and its menu offers delicious modern African dishes such as fire roasted pumpkin soup, curries, jaffels, free range beef burgers and braised lamb shoulder bobotie. There is also a kid’s menu.

For dessert they offer a mini dessert trolley where you can select up to four items. All of their ingredients are sourced from small, local suppliers in order to support and uplift local communities.

The restaurant is artistically designed and offers excellent service. The head chef at Skotnes is none other than Executive Chef Phil de Villiers.

In the summer the Norval Foundation offers hand-packed picnic baskets put together by De Villiers himself. The picnic kiosk also serves artisanal Italian gelato to be enjoyed while walking through the Sculpture Garden.
