Upper Claremont lies 9,6 km south of Cape Town’s city centre, between Newlands and Kenilworth and about twenty minutes from the warm waters of the False Bay beaches to the south, and a similar distance from Cape Town International Airport. The former Arderne Gardens, now a superb public park, contains a fine collection of exotic trees planted by H.M. Arderne during the 19th century.
