ADENDORP 12 HECTARE SMALLHOLDING
Web Ref.
RLS910795
A 12 hectare smallholding only 15 minutes from town and beyond the bustle of suburbia with a rural setting that offers an opportunity for small-scale agriculture or an intensive livestock or poultry farming enterprise. The property is located away from the main thoroughfares, it is completely enclosed by a high game fence and has ± 5 ha of old lands with deep alluvial soil ideal for cultivation.
LOCATION: ± 10 km from Graaff Reinet
SIZE: ± 12.1102 ha
ANNUAL RAINFALL: ± 335 mm
TOPOGRAPHY: Almost completely flat land situated at an elevation of ± 700 m ASL.
WATER SUPPLY: There are 4 operable boreholes, two of which are fitted with solar pumps and a third is fitted with a 1.1 kW 220 v submersible pump and is currently utillised for domestic water supply. The remaining reserve borehole is currently not utillised. The strongest borehole is under solar power and produces ± 3,000 lt per hour. Both the house and the shed have ample Jojo tanks for the supply of both rainwater and borehole water.
SOIL: There is deep alluvial soil in the north and in the south of the property ideal for crop or vegetable cultivation. Centrally there is an area of shallower soil.
