Beach and lagoon views in Doonside

Shangri La is right at Doonside swimming beach at the lagoon mouth with Baggie's Beach just 150 meters along. The complex has a communal pool and braai and allows holiday letting.

This spacious three bedroom / 2 bathroom unit is on the sixth floor facing south over the lagoon mouth and towards Baggie's Beach. The views are amazing.

You walk in to an L shaped open plan kitchen, dining, lounge and enclosed verandah.
Along the passage are three bedrooms, all facing the same view.
On the opposite side of the passage are two and a half bathrooms, the main being en suite. The half bathroom has been made into a small laundry space.
All bedrooms have built in cupboards.

The unit is tiled throughout and there are ceiling fans to keep you cool. The flat has one bay in the parking garage and others can be rented from the body corporate.

The levy of R3350 includes R150 insurance and R205 for a storage locker. Rates are R1275.

Amanzimtoti is a coastal town just south of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. According to local legend, when the Zulu King, Shaka, led his army down the South Coast on a raid against the Pondos in 1828, he rested on the banks of a river. When drinking the water, he exclaimed “Kanti amanzi mtoti” (isiZulu: “So, the water is sweet”). The river came to be known as Amanzimtoti (“Sweet Waters”). The Zulu word for “sweet” is actually mnandi, but, as Shaka’s mother had the name Nandi, he invented the word to replace mnandi out of respect not to wear out her name. Locals frequently refer to the town as “Toti”

The town is well known for its warm climate and numerous beaches, and is a popular tourist destination, particularly with surfers and the annual sardine run attracts many to the beaches.
